Bananas were linked to colonial and slavery practices in Africa by the British and American empires. Through this historical aspect of the banana and the modern-day slavery market is overrun by the same warlords claiming natural resources to create modern technology. Merging a visualised history, present, and future through this installation piece, I urge us all to reconsider our consumerist society and the cost of human lives on technological development.
So, what and when will the fight for more and more natural resources end? When is it enough? How many more millions?
